Elon Musk Predicts “None of Us Will Have a Job” If AI Takes Over | Firstpost America

Elon Musk shared a dystopian vision of what a future under artificial intelligence would look like. Addressing a conference, the tech billionaire said, “In a benign scenario, probably none of us will have a job.” But he added that for it to thrive there will be a need for universal high-income, however, he stopped short of explaining how that could be achieved. However, he did not exactly paint a rosy picture of no job and more money. He rather put forward the existential threats posed by artificial intelligence. He questioned whether a job-free future would make people feel emotionally fulfilled and if our lives would still retain their meaning.

I will be very happy, if AI does all the job.
Then I can enjoy my life without having to work.❤

"if our lives will still have their meaning"
Im a young man, 25 here. And I really have been listening to what people are talking about life.
... And if someone attaches their life's meaning to 9-5 job its either;
- A politician / rich guy - that does want to keep the old ways going, not sure why, maybe its the "right thing to do" or he is afraid of loosing meaning of his high status if everyone would have more $$
- its a person who can even struggle in life financially on wag-slavery - but because he doesn't get the good life he wont agree to make any step towards better future for people. And his favorite quote is " Should've work harder you lazy ass "
- Neutral class guy - Some of these people can be truly passionate about life and understand general struggles, but still lots of them are feeling comfortable enough to think that if he made it, it has to be "our" fault that we dont have a good life x))) whatever good life means in his silly head.

There is hope, there is also insanely big amount of knowledge, and meaning yet to be discovered in life. - Our society is really, but really the opposite of what it truly means to be alive.
But we have to start asking right questions; What will we do, what makes us happy, how do each and every person would like to continue their personal growth in society without jobs.

I find myself just a little lucky, because even I am very poor wage-slave person, I feel and know truly what my path to happiness is. I know what I would love to focus on, what to do, where to began. - its something I think everyone can learn, but it starts outside of the weird job-life cycle we created so far.

Have a nice and wonderful life my beings. Lets hope we will get the future right, as we are smart enough to do it, we just need to want it as ALL.

P. S.
For clever folks that would want to disagree on my view, and why Im 25 in wage class. I have ADHD and slight AS - and in this society we live in there is no hope for people like me. (most of the time ) - IF we even get diagnosed, no pills, no therapy can make your life fixed or the demage we've taken during our lifes. Once it get too far we are left behind on our own.
Peace.

Japan maxed out jobs after Robots were introduced in Japan. Jobs became exhaustive in Japan.

Universal high income that Elon Musk described, that actually sounds good. Difficult to achieve in the short run but in the long or even medium term it can become possible because of the exponential (accelerating) progress of technologies such as AI and robotics.

I would suggest his investors to ask him to speak sensibly atleast once in a month 🙏🏻

Efficiency’s always devalues money. Problem is those in control with money aren’t likely to just give it up. Besides once enough jobs are lost without another plan in place chaos will result.

One possible solution is a basic income system. This concept involves giving everyone a regular, unconditional sum of money regardless of employment status. A basic income could provide financial security and ensure that people have the means to purchase essential goods and services. This model has been tested in various places and has shown promise in reducing poverty and boosting local economies.

Another approach is profit-sharing models. In this system, companies share a portion of their profits with employees or even customers. This method aligns the interests of the business with those of its stakeholders, creating a sense of shared success. Profit-sharing can help distribute wealth more evenly and ensure that as companies grow, so do the financial benefits for the broader community.
