We need to be talking a lot about the benign scenario. this is not about retirement, there will be no work for anyone which is kind of key to capitalism. Elon wants to keep doing things but when we get AGI, it won't want to slow down for him. AGI isn't necessary to remove all the work, it just needs to be smart enough to replace us.

What I am stating here is targeted mostly at young people. We older folks may given birth to AI, but we will not be here to raise it. It will be up to you to parent this creation.
Throughout history, there have been profound discoveries that have changed civilization. Everything from the discovery of steel to the creation of the Internet. Each of those achievements rewarded early participants with great fortune. However, the technology has also been abused and caused serious consequences for millions.

The birth of AI is another one of those moments in history. I beg of you to not underestimate of ignore it. This is it! This will profoundly change the world. This great achievement also brings the threat of significant consequences if abused. That abuse has already started. Big money is involved because they know how valuable it is. Their involvement should be a red flag to everything. Greed is a constant motivator. It will always be a flaw of mankind.

The threat of AI is not that it will become self-aware and destroy us all. That is Hollywood nonsense. It’s a distraction from the real threat. The real threat is that some humans are going to abuse it and weaponize it for profit and power. You must understand AI. You must be part of it. You must start to introduce restrictions to prevent abuse, or at the very least you must ensure that its power is distributed, so that it does not become consolidated into the hands of a few.

If you are young person and you are wondering when your huge opportunity is coming. Please do hear AI beating at your door with a sledgehammer. Do not ignore it. Do not let it be abused. It is a creation that can thrust mankind forward or enslave us all. Good luck.

I'm not an expert in AI, at my age I know more about cooking or how to enjoy a good glass of wine, but still I would like to share my ideas of how to control this super power which could turn into monster against Humanity and that can be done simply by imposing, to every one a legal filter that can trace who is doing what, when, where, why and how, via a trustless blockchain system. If someone will use AI to break the country rules it will show up immediately and seen by every one else. AI should serve Humanity and respect the laws undersigned by all countries and not serve the greadiness of a few persons. That's all.

What does this progress say about the valuation of human effort, in what inevitably will be held up against AI produced specifics as example, quality, standard, and ultimate success in terms of creative effort....and will this actually REDUCE that human inclination, ultimately resulting in a dumbed down species removed of creative effort entirely...or at least, the idea that human effort has merit, in comparison. One wonders.

in all of our motion systems there exists an antithesis force, a friction of sorts that creates a drag. in the age /asi story we are the drag. we will need other humans to bring along the other humans lagging behind. and boy will they lag in a varied way. people will be more interested in integrating than staying up to date understanding. this is the model that tech paradigm shifts give us. average is dumb and it will be a long time before all the economy disappears, it will just alter its nature entirely and we will all come along for the ride.
