Iphone 15 Pro vs Sony ZV-E10 Kit | Photo and Video Test

Today we are going to test out the Iphone 15 Pro versus the Sony ZV-E10.

My point today is to see how a latest phone like Iphone 15 pro can perform against the entry level APSC camera from Sony. By right, due to sensor size differences, the SONY ZV-E10 should produce a way better image quality than the Iphone 15 Pro. Let's find out in this video.

Seriously, Iphone looks "sharper"? This is just a stupid "unsharp mask" effect applied, and has nothing to do with the actual detail resolved by the lens / sensor. You can apply this sharpening in Photoshop, or in fact in any editing app, to achieve this signature, early 2000s plastic digital camera vibe, proudly presented to you by the latest 2023 premium smartphone.

It's amazing how close these two are. Yeah, a dedicated DSLR is going to beat a cell phone...but it's *soooo* close now. Good video, btw.

The basic kit lens of zv e10 it's not very good in qualité. can you test on sigma 16mm 1.4 ?

zve10 with kit lens = 60000 INR iphone15 pro max (128gb varient) = 1, 50, 000 INR ... this is the cost difference in terms of indian rupees... if you want to pursue photography ..i think buying zve10 + a good lens (like tamron) would be much more productive.

IPhone 15 pro is more expensive than ZV-E10 😅. for daily use, of course a phone camera is more handy. The quality of iPhone 15 pro footages is good enough, and the stabilisation isbway better than ZV-E10 which you need gimbal to be stable enough. For photo definitely bigger sensor in ZV-E10 wins.

Really bad comparison. No camera enjoyer is using a straight out picture from the camera without editing. Also, you say it is sharper on iPhone. You can do it on any editing software. These photos you compare from the iPhone are put through the AI processing. You should edit the photo from Sony to be more fair. I used a lot of high-end phones (s23, ip15 pro max, xiaomi 12s ultra, huawei...). These pictures have one of the same problems: sensor limitation, no matter how good the software is, it always looks fake but good enough for most people. Zoom in make you want vomit yourself or try to show on big screen. I know you can do better than this. Common. And that len, throw it away. Apologize for my complaint.

Wow... Looking at my small screen, the iPhone 15 pro AI processing pictures are actually very good compared to the Sony ZV E-10. But I would like to see a comparison of the pictures on an 8x10 print or perhaps a 24x36 poster. I supposed the 24 mp Sony can see every thread in your dress. As an enthusiast I would prefer to invest on a lens (sigma trio perhaps) than a 1400 USD iphone. But that just me. BTW, nice video

For my home movies my favorite is Insta360 One inch sensor, and all photos with ZV-e10 with Sony 15mm F1, 4/Sigma 56mm F1, 4/ Sony 70-350 for something special. For sure using my Note 10+ Samsung all the time too.

colors on the sony look so much better, also the image of the iphone is so oversharpened, it just doesnt look natural..

i dont even know why people do these comparsions, the iphone has a great camera but its just a phone after all and will never replace professionel gear
not to mention that you didnt even test the zv-10 to its fullest potential..

all these tests make 0 sense, i mean clearly the iphone uses software to enhance their images, if i do the same to the camera it will also look much better.

also, doesnt matter the camera, small pixel size will always result in better lowlight as a smaller sensor will be much more stady than a bigger.
