This is like asking, would you rather take a bus or drive a car ? One does it for you, the other you are in control of. Depends on what you are after. And how you want to practice an art. The same way you are painting in the video... you can physically do it, as well as do the SAME THING on a Computer.. you will choose the medium depending on what YOU want to do, and how YOU want to go about achieving it.

Whenever people ask me what I would choose "an iPhone or a camera" it's always going to be the camera, If you are trying to learn more and become better that will never happen with an iPhone. is the iPhone great? yes... but at the end of the day, you're not going to be shooting weddings on an iPhone if that's your goal you won't be shooting wildlife. the whole idea of taking photos and making videos is to learn and become better. That will never happen with an iPhone And when it comes down to "price vs price" no sign-up deals or anything, For 1200$ you're looking at more than a6000. That puts you in the price range of an r8 with a 50mm "going to blow the iPhone away" Love the video but People should understand what a camera is. It's not something you pack around in your pocket. it's a hobby, it's something that is beyond just a phone.

Great video sir.. actually i want to make a video to compare phone and a6000 too.. i have a opinion that a6000 combined with sigma fixed lenses will beat any phone camera (based on my amateur experience).

Hi I have a question and I would rlly appreciate your input. What about the sony a6400 with either the kit lens or the sigma 18-50mm zoom lens vs the iPhone 15 pro? in terms of just photography, I'm not interested in video creation. Is the extra bulk and heft worth it? And could it out perform the iPhone 15 pro or are they similar in performance?

Can’t pull manual focus on iPhone same as dedicated camera with lens which can be a big deal for content creators trying tell a story and shifting viewers attention where desired.

Come on guys! You are comparing the iPhone 15pro to an A6700 and you say the image quality is great on the A6700 but "depends on lightning". In what lightning situation does the 6700 NOT produce the better image of the two?

If you showed some images side by side (as some other channels have) the differences are actually very significant.

I feel like the biggest question here is "What are you going to do with the photos/videos?". Because anything that is going to just be shared on social media.... The A6700 is massive overkill.

Do you know if the iPhone 15 pro is significantly better video and photo wise than the iPhone 14 pro, 13 pro, and 12 pro? I think the Filmic pro app will work on iPhones 12 and up?

If i was in a situation where i could choose between a phone that has just been released + has raw feature and a camera from 2014 that cant be used as a smartphone then i would choose the iphone 15 ofc

Sure iphone is easier to use, but the a6000 output can look better

iphone does NOT support external audio input like a portable audio interface that replaces the microphone of the Iphone. You can’t record videos with better sound quality. On the Sony camera you can. Line out of the audio interface into the mic in of the sony camera and it records with the better audio and synchronization.

you just gotta hate apple for not letting you turn off that awful HDR look since the iphone 13.
i think my iphone 6 took better pictures than my current iphone 13. the colors are so wrong, there are no shadow areas and everytime the sky looks 10x more blue than it actually is. looks so disgusting. with my iphone 6 or my sony xperia Z5 i had fun taking pictures...
thankfully i have my sony a6000

Yeah, no. Cameras on phone are always just a bonus. I buy a smartphone for communication. Just being able to adjust focus on lens wins every time over these smartphones and smartphones 5 years from now. Nope sorry.
And if you're studying, you need to learn what these parameters, focus, aperture, exposure, etc. and you do that best on the real thing.

This is the dumbest comparison ever. Nobody is choosing between the newest iphone in the market and a 10 year old discontinued camera that was never meant to be a video camera. Does a video like this even need to be made. You already know the outcome. Should be compared to the a6700.
