I'm actually putting f-150 2wheel drive swap this weekend on my 83 yoga. So when I measure it whatever it is I should tack it a 1/2" forward ?? Also I put trail gear 4 " long travel springs and a shackle flip kit in the front about how much lift did you get out of this swap?

I'm doing this same mod. I see you have 4 leafs plus the very short add-a-leaf and the overload leaf.. so 6 total (or 5/1 as it's technically called). Did you originally get these as 3/1 or 4/1 and then add in another leaf from something plus the add-a-leaf and are they 2.5" wide or 3"? I see a lot of different sizes and spring capacities available for the F-150s and I'm just trying to nail down the best start point. It seems like the recommend dose is 1980-1996 Ford F150 2WD leaf packs that are 2.5" wide and 4/1 packs. The hardest part so far is the spring capacity ratings as there are ones as low as 1300lbs up to 2400lbs and no data available for the stock Toyota leafs. I can't find what the stock spring rating is anywhere and I've exhaustively searched countless forum threads. Thanks in advance for any info on what exact springs you used!

Hey Austin, I was researching the Chevy 63" swap and on comments from one of the videos I was watching, someone suggested the F150 spring swap is superior to the 63" swap. I started to look that up which is how I arrived on this video. Do you have an opinion one way or the other? What made you choose this swap over the 63"?

My '87 is bone stock right now and the ancient leafs are blown out, so rather than throw OME's or something of the like on it, I'm going to do one of these two swaps, just trying to learn as much as I can to make an educated decision which way to go. Both springs are cheaply available in my local yard so I don't think the cost is a deciding factor. Thanks for your time.
