2021 F150 Slip Yoke Clunk

2021 F150 4wheel Drive. I've been chasing what I though was suspension noise... I strapped a Go-Pro under the truck to find the noise. Looks like a Slip Yoke issue.

been to Ford and indy shops, no idea what is wrong

There is a TSB from 2014 about this.
It's an easy fix.mark the rotation/alignment of shaft to rear diff. Drop drive shaft from rear diff, pull driveshaft out of transfer case, clean both sides.
Apply PTFE Ford white Teflon grease, a lot of it.
Reinstall drive and torque bolts.

Great video showing where this sound can come from. I have an older GM that at some point in its pre-Me life seems to have got a fancy large diameter aluminum drive shaft. The shaft is super light. Buuuut - it also resonates sound loudly. As the rear suspension articulates The yoke is supposed to slip in-out of the Tcase transmission like your video. That is correct and normal. The issue is sometimes the fit is snug and it makes squealing sounds. At stop and goes. A little lube in there makes it go smoother and quiets down the ride.

Don’t take your truck in for expensive rebuilds or replacements. Simply pull the driveshaft, put a bit of heavy grease in there (sparingly) and put it back on. The sound will disappear. As the miles rack up, the wear will loosen the fit and grease will not be needed.

Update on my 2021- dealer greased the yoke with ptfe grease. Sound and clunk feel is completely gone..guess now itll be maintenance every 25k

Wow damn near new truck and it's already having this issue. Took my truck almost 30 yrs to do that. Modern builds. 😔

I think im having the same issue. Is the yoke suppose to move in and out? Cause mine has that shine to it on the front.

Take the driveshaft off, lube with ford white grease. That solved the problem.
