People are amazed how these things are built. I can’t even wrap my head around how they are even designed

1:40 I think they left someone in there!

Stupid music needed to hear the beast plus longer shots of the detail, this was pure tease.

Cool video, thanks GE! Watching it at .25 playback via YouTube's (cool) speed selector makes this even more interesting, including detail I would have otherwise missed. Looking forward to seeing this in full production.

Please fire your entire marketing department and replace them with a video of engines running.

were making the fuel pump for this engine. I want to get back to our test cell to see it run at full pressure. 3, 000 psig. that's insane!

The music sounds like an uptight garage band.

Thanks, now I can build my own engines.

I'm like a "little girl" when I get to do a Ge9X Low Pressure Compressor :D Love GE, even the blades are higher quality than others O:) ehm ehm

I was told that during testing the core engine had a turbine stall failure causing a compressor surge causing a fire in the rig.

Pas de doute de la très très haute technologie

From my knowledge, the supremely advanced core of the GE9X and in particular its very high compression ratio, might prove ideal to develop a hi-performance derivative that would replace the mighty fan with a three stage medium by-pass compressor that would accelerate cold air to trans if not supersonic speed but still generate thrust in the 90, 000 pounds class (if not higher) with great efficiency. and the potential to propel a SP version of the next generation single aisle liner (757 class stretched to 210 feet length) to high transonic cruising speed. Air transport is changing and more people might appreciate the flight time reduction coming from cruising at 550 knots than at 430. JMHO

How about a test cell at location where the engine is built.
