Chosen to power the new Boeing 777X airplane, the all-new GE9X engine will deliver world-class reliability and performance at service entry through GE Aviation’s most extensive technology maturation program ever.
In Massa, Italy, the compressor’s record-breaking 27:1 pressure ratio and new 3D aerodynamics were qualified on a custom-built rig, validating its contribution to the GE9X’s overall pressure ratio of 60:1 and 10% fuel burn improvement.
