How to remove scratches from screens with Mirka® Remint

Показать описание
With the new Mirka® Remint you get a quick and easy process for scratch removal for mobile device screens.

Before starting the process make sure that the unit is water-proof. Seal any critical openings.

First, measure the scratch level to choose the correct grit (10 is the coarsest and 50 the finest) of the abrasive compound to use. Sanding time depends on the depth of the scratch, glass quality and phone model.

Sanding
Sand* with a small amount of Remint Abrasive Compound with the copper pad on a Mirka® DEROS 350CV or Mirka® AROS-B 150NV until you have removed the scratch and have a uniform, matte surface.

Polishing
1. Polish with Remint Polishing Compound H, Remint Polishing Pad 77mm, and Mirka® AP or Mirka® RPS 300CV.
2. Final polishing with Remint Polishing Compound H and Remint Polishing Pad 80mm, and Mirka® AP or Mirka® RPS 300CV.

In just a matter of minutes, you have increased the device's value up to 20 times the cost of the consumables that were used in the process.

*Depending on the depth of the scratch pattern you may need a second sanding step.

What about the oleophobic coating of the phone? Do you apply any ceramic coating afterwards?

"... and the phone is back to mint condition". This is a iPhone 6 or 7, and not water proof. After all the water and polishing compound you press into the speaker and home button, I'm not so sure that this phone is 100% healthy.

Hi What is the machine used to measure the depth of the scratches.

I purchased this and very costly. The compounds and copper pads are very expensive and do not remove deep scratches. When you polish in two steps does not polish the entire glass. If you leave a tiny bit un polish the image is not clear on the screen. You will consume a lot more compound per phone than what they say. Also you will need to re apply the oleophobic coating again, which is not easy to buy. While the concept is good they have to come up with a machine and not do this by hand.

Just call Verizon they will send a guy to your house and replace your screen for $29!!!! Then put a blue light screen protector on it. Problem solved.
