I never liked them rewriting Uncle Ben's death, but I understand it's necessary for the story to have that connection between sandman and peter to send him down that dark path. I'll always love Rami's Spider-Man and I will defend Spider-Man 3 for the rest of my life.

Appreciation of the depth of the Raimi Spider-Man films is always great to see. They get slept on for their artistic qualities sometimes, and that shouldn't be the case.

It is understandably the weakest in the trilogy. But it's still really good. The film chooses to continue the conflict of the previous film. Although this film is nowhere near the level of brilliance of Spider-Man 2, it's a befitting conclusion to the trilogy.

Although Harry could've been better written, most of the character work is pretty solid. Sam Raimi and the writers had the balls to take the good natured Peter Parker, and corrupt him. Sandman is a solid villain, and though Venom wasn't completely needed, the way he was used should be appreciated. The Venom creature aided in Peter's downfall as a human being, and Eddie's motivation for killing Peter made sense.

I just wish Avi Arad had trusted Raimi like he did for the previous film, because if he did, this film could've been as good as Spiderman 2. But this is a film that absolutely does not deserve the hate it gets. It has heart, personality, camp, and has something to say with these characters.

we grieve because avi is a gr8 reflection of the greed of corporations and the slow death of quality media and we forgive spiderman 3 for its shortcomings because it is a victim of said greed
