Always check the weight on the package. Almost bought this huge reese's thing for my wife. Picked it up and it felt pretty light. Put it in the cart and walked to the checkout. Grabbed a king sized reese cup (the one with 4 cups) checked the weight. Basically 2.5 king sized reese's at $2.50 a piece was equal weight to this 1ft by 1ft package of reeses. And that big one was $15.

I've worked retail since I got out of the Army... I'll say this: we have things like fabric softener bottles that's smaller than they used to be, but for the same price as the larger bottles. Same with bleach, sodas, etc... and that's the off-brand stuff, not even the name brand. I usually put the larger sizes in front and the smaller in back if the occasional box of larger sizes comes in... either that, or I put them side by side so the customers can compare it themselves. We even have 1.25 liter coke that used to be just a bit over $1 that has gone up 50 cents. It's ridiculous.
