I used to play asphalt9 on pc with touchdrive on😅 a noob i know. At first I played it to pass time, but eventually it was the only game i only played🫠

I personally absolutely agree with you, and the last time I used TouchDrive was in 2019 when I first played the game, because with TD you literally cant do any trick in this game, and I'm not talking about semi-pro tricks like floaties and punch drifting, no, you cant even do apexing or nitro braking because of the auto steering. I literally beat TD users with their A class cars while using my Pininfarina H2 speed all the time. Piece of advice to any TD user, listen to Amogh switch to manual mate, you are missing a lot of fun. Thanks to Amogh for saying this finally. Good luck everyone!

Touch drive is specifically a handicap tool for newbies. It's meant to help newcomers get used to the control mechanics of the game and THEN switch to manual as their skills improve.

TD can be restrictive in handling but it's a compromise those kind of drivers can live with in exchange for less mistakes navigating the track.

Unlike when you crash in MP of A8 and still make a comeback because of near instant speed recovery thanks to the Nitro Focused Driving style, Crashing in A9 leads to a HUGE loss in momentum even with Shockwave (and you only get that if you were KD instead of Crashing by yourself).

I'm primarily an A8 player so I've been used to Manual control for years (like every other racing game I've played) but when I played A9 for the first time, manual felt weird and unintuitive because of the "boaty" handling that got worse as the Car got slower but I adjusted and got better.

TD players will be fine but as long as new players keep adding to the player base, there will always be TD players and that is okay.

Some grow out of it, others stick with it and make it their own meta because not everyone who plays the game is doing so to play like an absolute Pro or an Alien.

At first i was very noob with manual controls, but i practiced and now good at that. (Never used touchdrive)

Also its easier when you play in controller also you go out of play every time go on to ramp, best case you during match u off td and take Manual control for few sec for certain tracks, it works

td has another flaw that is you cant wallride with td and you have to chosse one and if you choose long then you get long cut and if u use manual then u always have the time to go to the short cut and in td a mistake remains a mistake but in manual u can recover the mistake

I watched someone in Mp1 driving a Jesko lose to a Corvette Gs in Legend League because they were both touchdriving and the Jesko couldnt pass him lol
Casually overtook both of them on a ramp and got a good laugh out of it
