I mainly use them on my guitars to clean up any unnecessary ringing or feedback. When playing heavy music with a LOT of gain, EVERY noise on the strings is audible. So it just helps to keep the strings I'm NOT playing quiet.

As a bassist I personally prefer the tone without it more but I'd probably use for different songs

Oh wow Danny you've really gotten in the last year, you're so soft spoken here and sound like a loving father

It’s subtle, but effective for recording if you’re mic’ing a cab

It's a real lifesaver when playing with HIGH gain tones that are prone to a ton of overtones and particularly feedback.

To be honest, Danny, I was so distracted by your tone in general, I didn't notice a difference. I actually had to put my headphones on to hear the difference. I really love the tone you get from your Chowny. Every time I hear you play it, I come to the conclusion that I need one!

Wow, that wrap really reduces the harsh high tones 🤔 Thanks for showing 👍🏻

Very subtle, but it does subdue the tone. Nice sound, I like it!

Absolutely essential for 6 string Behs IMO. The headstock is so friggin large it's like a little harp up there. Especially when you're playing in a modern dangly metallic tone, you'll go crazy without one

When I hear him saying "Behs", I don't know if I wanna laugh, cry, find it funny or be angry 😂😂

They work great for playing open strings to even out the tone. I've used them for years.

Was literally trying to figure out what this was a minute ago Thank you!

I use it on bass if I do any two handed tapping at it leaves the worry of strings ringing out of the equation.

Prefer felting it near the bridge. Gives me that old school, muted tone and changes more than just open strings (even if that is all of them except the one you're playing, usually.)
