I use the fret wraps more for when im soloing or playing fast further down the fret board, and will put the fret wrap over the 1st fret rather than right by the nut, it definitely helps quiet the noise of high gain, and helps quiet slight mistakes in muting technique. I definitely think its effective for lead stuff. I dont use it much for rythm parts.

Too bad ... I was so hoping that it would be a prank and that in the end there would just be massive noise so you can’t even hear the riff anymore 😆

For those saying no difference:
1. If you don't notice it you're literally telling everyone you're either a: shit at producing cause you don't have the ear to hear the obvious difference or b: you're listening on cheap headphones or speakers
2. For people asking if this will matter in a full mix and YES because EVERY SOUND EVERY MISTAKE AND HISS OR WHATEVER IS AUDIBLE and you take that sound and run it through and amp or a compressor guess what that sound is enhanced even more
3. the difference between a garage band home recording and a studio is IN STUDIOS they reduce all unnecessary noise for the cleanest sound possible.
4. Get a damn fret wrap, makes things so much cleaner. You'll have it for years

Thanks for your time

Will you even notice that in a full mix?

So essentially no effect atall. Can't hear any difference.

Definitely not going to hear all the small little nuances, high strings ringing out or something like that, I thought these were more aimed towards lead players and runs to help cut out the mistakes and humm bUzz tweaks of messing up etc..? Using it for rhythm wouldn't it be more like assisted palm muting??

Yes for the lead guitar (clean tone)
No for the rhythm (+reverb)
