The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 - a Total GAME CHANGER!

The Aqara FP2 is the successor to Aqara’s first attempt at a super accurate presence sensor, namely the FP1. Unfortunately, at least from my perspective, this didn’t hit the mark. However, when it comes to the FP2, this deserves the accolade of ‘GAME CHANGER'. This is due to a few significant improvements - multiple zones, faster response times, and far more accuracy, not to mention a light sensor also exposed to HomeKit.

Great review as usual!!! Can't wait for my FP2 to arrive so I can test it, looks much better than the FP1. I also liked that the cable is removable, this way I can replace for a shorter one whenever is needed.

Nice intro and video! I got a few questions:
Would an AC trigger the sensor or somehow impact its detection capability (as they blow cold air around the room)?
Separately, can it differentiate humans from small pets like cats or dogs?

I only use devices that work with amazon alexa echo dots. If I don't use apple home kit and a home kit hub will I be able to use the FP2?

Hi! Great video as usual. Can you only create zones using the Aqara app and not the Home app? And if that’s so, does that mean you can only make zones while signed in to an account? Can you make zones using the “Homekit Mode” of the Aqara app? Thanks!

Question. If a house I intend to use this presence sensor has 3 floors: basement, main and upper, and I want to zone the stairwells (basement and upper). How does it zone three dimensions? (Diagonal orientation of the stairwell) Does it? Can it? Where would I put the sensor? Main floor?

Can you please explain the disadvantages of the Chinese version for HomeKit users. If I don't intend to use Google or Alexa integration, what do I lose by getting the Chinese version? Can we add it to the Aqara international server in the app? If not, do we lose any benefits?

Using Aqara app., I have created Zones in my living room where FP2 is installed and have automated them. Unfortunately, i am experiencing Ghosts in these Zones. How do i remove these Ghosts which unnecessarily triggers connected wifi lights On/Off ?. Please Advice. Thanks in advance.

is the Ghost Presence happen when your fan is on ? it was the case for the Fp1, and it was really impossible to use it for automation in room with fan ? How about the FP2 is the presence trigger with the fan on ? looking forward
