The new Aqara FP2 Presence Sensor is an absolute game changer for your smart home automations. The FP2 is a mm wave presence sensor that can detect even the smallest movements. No more false triggers! Plus it features zone configurations, fall detection, a light sensor and so much more.

**UPDATE**
The Aqara FP2 sensor already sold out on Amazon stores. It is expected to be back in stock in early May. Once it’s available to purchase, I will update this description with a new discount code (check back and follow me on my other social channels for updates!)

Great video, Shane. One of the telling aspects of the FP2 is how blown away even the heavy users of SmartHome products, such as yourself, have been with this sensor. I can’t wait to add a few of these to the house, especially in areas where the family never remembers to turn out lights!

This is the type of useful smart home tech I’m looking forward to. Gimmicky lights and things may look cool, but this is truly useful, (and potentially life saving with the fall detection.)

it's nice that it doesn't need the Aqara hub to work with homekit, and that once you've set up zones via the app, you can apparently delete the app, and the FP2 will continue working locally.

You are the first YouTube that has stated that you need to use a hub to trigger local automations. Good job!👍

Disappointed the fall detection requires ceiling mount and then lose zone features. Looking forward to trying it out once back in stock.

Glad I ordered one before they went available. Set it up yesterday and it is pretty impressive. Thanks for notifying me that it came out the other day!

Mine arrived yesterday. This totally opens up some great new possibilities!

It's very temperamental from my experience. Regularly not detecting people and detecting extra people to name 2

I'm very excited to try it out. Up until now I've used Aqara P1 motion sensors throughout my house and they are very slow to trigger scenes. FP2 are all sold out on Amazon in EU but I found it somewhere else online and ordered two. Can't wait to to set up those zones and say goodbye to slow triggering and premature switching off :) great video btw 👍🏻 as always

Hello
The fp2 sensor is back in stock in the Amazon website, by any chance do you have the discount code?
Thanks!

Awesome review Shane. Sadly, I’ll be returning my FP2, as it just wouldn’t play nice with my bedroom ceiling fan, constantly thinking there was occupancy when my bedroom was vacant. ☹

My FP2 isn’t tracking live as well as yours seems to be. Great video! Would love to see some content on what cool automations you and your followers come up with for this!

I am so glad I decided to wait until I move to stock up on sensors! I'm gonna have so much fun with these 😁

I have 3 FP2 sensors are they are trash at staying connected to my wi-fi. I like the idea of them, and want fast response to my other Homekit devices, but they are not usable as-is. If I get a M3 Hub would this make them more stable and responsive?

This feels like one very exciting product, even more exciting than the G4! Can’t wait to get it when it’s back in stock. Thanks Shane!

Edit: does zone positioning work if 2 or more people trigger two different zone automations at the same time? For example when someone’s on the couch turn on the TV backlight but also when someone else goes to the desk turn on the desk lamp BUT keep the TV backlight on because the 1st person is still there on that couch. Hopefully it makes some sense haha

Thank you for this Shane! I have so many Hue motions sensors I can’t wait to replace with just one or two of these. The only thing you didn’t cover in your review though, is how long does it take for Motion activity to reset? For example, the Hue motion sensors take ~10 seconds before motion is no longer detected. Does this sensor reset motion the moment it stops (but keeps occupancy triggered)? Or is there also a 10+ second delay before the motion triggered will end or reset to null?

Thank you again!
