How do you cut an Artichoke? Watch to find out!

As you can see, a sharp knife makes everything in a kitchen safer, easier, and more fun. It’s not a secret. Personally, I love my set of Pro knives from @zwilling_usa . They are forged out of German Stainless steel, so they are not only super sharp and comfortable but they also hold their edge for a long time. I cook with them everyday, and it's much safer and faster to get everything prepped with a sharp knife.

I’m really glad to partner with them for some educational content like this because whatever your style and budget, they have a knife that can help you become a better cook. So check out their page and get cooking.

I've been in a restaurant kitchen before and the chefs there taught me to make a slit in the peppers from top to bottom, open them, scoop out the core and seeds and use how you want. BUT they also taught me that the most important thing about cooking is that everyone gets to do it in their own way as long as it gets done and the outcome is good

If I ever cut/serve carrots like that, people will definitely think I went psycho.

For the mango, use a big spoon.

For the bell pepper, cut from the bottom in half but cut around the seeds by circling around the seeds. The rotation axis is the normal of the plane you were cutting from the bottom if you're wondering. Once enough is cut open, you can break away the two halves from the stem without losing any of the flesh. That way you can preserve the halves if you intend big pieces.

As someone who boils the artichokes whole and then eats them one leaf at a time, the last clip hurt my soul 🥲

Not eating the leaves off that artichoke is a crime.

You're supposed to scrape the artichoke leaves for more artichoke. Or just boil the whole thing and scrape it with your teeth.

You can eat the broccoli stem, and its actually good. I like to cut it into thick slices and fry a little bit on some butter or olive oil, trust me it's delicous

I agree completely except regarding the artichoke. The fleshy leaves are waaay too tasty/delicious to cut off.

I especially appreciate the carrot trick though! ☆

Oooh my god, what a way to completely waste an artichoke... There's basically nothing left to eat there!

Arti got robbed. That knife butchered him. All those leaves have a delicious bite to be dipped in butter. Arti needed nothing but a hot pot of H2O.

Omg please don't waste that much artichoke. The more closed they are, the more tender the leaves are. You can eat the bottom part of artichoke leaves and they taste very good. Just remove the outer layer of leaves and all those that are open and then boil/fry/roast it, you can eat like 2/3 of it.

I think it's funny that parents (or at least mine) would always worry I would cut myself with a sharp knife, so would always give me a blunt/dull one.
