My idea is very similar, but as a DIY homeowner I was looking for confirmation or ideas. My idea, you put the construction paper up then do a rubbing with sidewalk chalk or a big pencil of some type. Take the paper down and cut it out. Then lay it on the new drywall and cut it out!
