My nurse practices just recently stopped my antidepressants medication because I've been having some bad side effects and also because my depressive symptoms went down a lot. Antislpsychotic medications have been more effective in managing my depressive symptoms.

Can you do a video on PSSD? My personality has changed a lot after being on antidepressants and even after stopping. I’ve not been excited about life and become a lesser version of myself.

Brand name Paxil was phenomenal. I was a little forgetful but otherwise felt like a million dollars. I was exercising daily and benefited from a small afternoon nap. It was the first antidepressant I was on & 20 mg 30 count was 35 dollars a month. Last I checked it was over 1000 dollars a month. Generic did not work for me. It seems to me generics should cause the brand names to plummet if there truly is no difference. I've been told overall Doctors use name brand medicine. If you don't have a video on brand verses generic that would be interesting.

My daughter has disowned my wife and I and for the most part has forsaken the family since she started anti-depressants. Not the same person we brought up.

I'd swear antidepressants made me an unreasonable, entitled person who did not have logical reasoning skills...
~I had been on antidepressants for 30 years. I habitually went off and on as I knew something was wrong with the medication but the withdrawals were so bad that I'd cave and go back on them. (Withdrawls consisted of strong mood swings, lethargy & typical depressive symptoms - hence thinking that I actually needed antidepressants)
~I've been off of them for 10+ months now. Life is just starting to not feel as hopeless now.
~Around 6 months off, my intellectual maturity drastically changed. I detransitioned from FtM back to female after 13 years, lost a sense of victimization and entitlement, and went from being a lifelong Democrat to a Republican. The change was startling when I stopped and considered how I am now compared to a year ago.

~Life can be tough, disappointing and sad.. that does not equate to having depression. Learn to be OK with not feeling joyful or comfortable at times... hard times will pass.
