Finally a movie about a haunted house with a good reason for why they don't just move. Been waiting for this all my life.

This is why horror is such a vibrant genre, tackling current issues with a horror twist, very get out and us kind of music, looks quite intriguing....very good...the imagery and the visuals are exciting....

Just finished watching it. Cried twice. That has never happened with a horror movie before. Tightly written, beautifully acted, nothing too over the top. If you're looking for horror with depth, this is the one.

1. Not every horror story involving black people is like Get Out.
2. Jordan Peele is not the only black director.
3. This is nothing like Get Out. It's not about African Americans for a start. Or about being lured anywhere under false pretenses.
4. it's about black African war refugees trapped between the nightmare they left behind and the one created by governments that host them.

Edit: Racists in the replies flipping tables lmao

A lot of people seems to think of Jordan Peele, but I kinda see The Babadook or the novel Beloved.

See all of this could have been avoided if she had just burned some sage when she moved in.

I reckon they move into their new home bringing unhealed emotional wounds, which turn into nightmarish manifestations. I think the central theme of the story is about confronting trauma head-on so you can find new ways to move forward.

Just watched this. Definitely one of the scariest I’ve seen in 2020, but at the same time very interesting. It rattles every emotion, with sadness, terror, hopelessness, and happiness. This movie delivered a story, scare, and a really good ending. I would most definitely recommend watching it if you have Netflix.

This has got to be the most poetic "horror" movie I've ever seen.

the African migrant journey really is this terrifying and so while horror is probably one of the most fitting genres to depict such real experiences, i also hope this serves some kind of social responsibility to migrant people. Especially when it comes to anti-blackness in the U.K and trauma. We'll see...

This was a freaking incredible movie. It was a horror movie true enough, but it was elevated beyond that. It's a great drama with twists and have you rooting for one way then the other then the other.

I truly felt for both of them in different ways because both had their own separate struggles and pasts they had to tackle.

The creep factor was high and the effects were great.

I got the chance to see this at Sundance earlier this year and this trailer does not even come close to show how amazing and terrifying this movie is
