the effect Jordan Peele’s Get Out has had in the film industry is insane

These psychological thrillers are taking over lately! I'm here for it 🍿

If “I gotta put me first” was a person. This woman was straight up wicked.

She really said "double it and give it to the next person" 😭😭

This looks like a thriller. This gives me Get Out and Don’t Worry Darling vibes.

Someone was very… inspired by Jordan Peele’s filmography.

This film had two perspectives: The mother and the foundlings ( I used this word, as orphans lose their parents due to death). The mother: wanted what she considered a better lifestyle (away from struggle, chaos, stress and poverty...anything to do with people of colour/urban). To the extent of abandoned her children. The Foundlings: attempted to find and seek answers from their birth mother and be a part of her life now, only to find that she still does not want anything to do with them, again (a hard pill to swallow, to not be wanted/acknowledged and even loved by their mother). In the end, when given a chance to choose her children and be there she still choose herself (and abandoned all of her children). This movie gets 5 stars from Me.

Besides "Get Out" it definitely gives me "Passing" vibes.

It was not her ethnicity that created the demise of this woman, it was her choices, and lack of knowledge of herself that created the situation!

That ending, when I heard the motorcycle start 😂😂

This looks inspired by Get Out. My guess from the trailer is that she’s black passing as white and her estranged siblings are after her for some reason. Can’t wait to watch it!

Holy!
A trailer that doesn't give up the plot and leaves you wanting to know the story.
Looks pretty good

I feel like the only people Marvin and Abigail truly hurt were Sebastian and Mary, two people who were blameless in all of this. Their father has been murdered, and their mother has left them.

Nella Larsen wrote Passing in 1929 which was later adapted into Passing the movie. Her work influenced this genre, honorable mention Octavia Butler 😊

This movie was absolutely hilarious from beginning to end. I just couldn't stop laughing. Every time she dug up under that wig I was screaming "Let Sis out!"🤣🤣🤣

Good movie. But I think what happened to the father was extreme and unnecessary. But the ending made us see the mom for who she really is.

It's always nice to see Ashley Madekwe. She played Ashley on Revenge and Tituba on Salem.
