I bought one today from Walmart. Right out of the box only white lines like a barcode across whole screen.
Took it and exchanged it for another and new one only few inches on the right side has picture. Rest is a black screen. Gonna go tomorrow switch it for different brand.

Edit: if anyone has the same problem as me, put in this combination on the remote...
Home button 5 times, up 1 time, rewind 2 times, and fast forward 2 times
The TV will scroll through the menu fast and then freeze for up to 2 minutes max and reboot. Hopefully it works for who comes across this. Worked for me at least
