I've figured out (with my tv, not sure if this works on all the tvs but give it a try for your tv) turn on a video, any video or live tv will work, hit the settings button * > picture settings > customize picture mode > fine tune picture > and turn your backlight to 25%... I've tested this for over a month and haven't had my screen turn black since. I watched a few electricians talk about his problem and all of them have said its a lack of power to the back-lit LEDS. I tried this and it worked like a charm. Hopefully it helps with all the the other ONN roku smart tvs out there, good luck! 😁

FYI some tv's don't have manual buttons (on/off, volume up and down etc. etc.) but right beside the the remote receiver sensor there is a reset button, the sensor and reset button is beside the red light most likely at the center bottom of the screen.

None of those "universal" methods worked. You didn't mention what to do if the red standby light is not on or the "hard reset" button on the back next to the HDMI ports. Those are the two checks/tests Onn support wants you to try before they declare the TV dead....like mine.

Hit the reset button on the back for 15 seconds on the back while plugged in. You will have to resign in to everything, but it worked

Probably nothing will work sucks i won it so can’t return it and it would be wrong to sell it hopefully it miraculously works again but so far not one suggestion has worked I should have known i might win something but i am not allowed any enjoyment in life there is no fricking power button

Reason why this happens is because tv chips are cheaply made and are barely able to handle all the apps you download in to it
