This video is all about how to solve a linear equation and forms part of the playlist on solving equations. I've also added it to the playlist on GCSE higher revision.

The question is around level 8 GCSE mathematics and deals with two fractions:

3m - 1 over 4 - 2m + 4 over 3 = 1.5

It's complicated by the negative sign.

I don't get how to do this... I think it's because I'm in 4th Grade and it's a little to complicating... -_-

I did it your method but I did it the other way round I did 4(2m+4) -[3(3m-1)] =1.5 divided by 12 but it didn't work. Is there a pecific way of which side you have to times first

I thought 9M - 8M would equal to 1M because 9-8=1 and M-M equal... IDK I think it's just M.
