The universe reveals its secrets gradually, only to present even more mysteries, perhaps to keep us occupied. Explaining the sheer scale of the universe, Brian Cox has just announced that the universe isn't what we think.

The discussion about the mysteries of the universe and the notion that the more we learn, the more questions arise, is particularly compelling. Brian Cox's delivery captivates the audience, drawing them into the endless wonders of the cosmos.

Humans have absolutely no idea what they are looking at .
Its like an ant working out the finer details of a 2024 mack truck but only seeing the flat side of one tyre .

... its not "given their immense mass" that we think Galaxies shouldn`t be intact, its because of the rotational speed !!

More knowledge, the more questions, the less chance of an answer.

Imagine when we find out there is nothing, not even nothing is there...all is empty but still full

Why do I only hear about gravity, due to mass? Why ignore electric and magnetic force?

The size, scale, scope and understanding of the universe would make much more sense, if the science community would start considering that all astronomical bodies are growing.
After that, they can start theorizing about how it's growing. There is in fact a simple mathematical equation that calculates the expansion of the universe, which happens to be a lot slower than what the science communities think they have recorded, but I'm not going to reveal it here.

There he goes again doing his mind reading act. Professor wrong again . He really enjoyed telling everyone about is big bang theory. The only big bang was it blow up in his face. How may I ask does he know what I am thinking other than the clue I left in this comment.

Cox is not saying anything new.
I always liked this quote from J.B.S. Haldane:
"The Universe is not just queerer than we imagine...it is queerer than we CAN imagine."
(Younger readers take note....the word "queer" had a different meaning back then.)

What big bang! That of the corrupt priests?

WIMPs are not theoretical. They are hypothetical.

The narrative is laughable at times. Enough time to manage dark energy properly? 😂 What does that even mean?

The Big Bang never happened. It's just a man induced 'theory'.
Just sit back and enjoy the show!
We don't need to dissect everything and place all the pieces into defined slots.
Galaxies do remain 'intact' so why question this? Stop looking for fine-tuned explanations.
