Part of the issue with the drums was that it affected all your party members. Engineering things are personal.
Doesnt seem as big of a deal to me.

The problem with leatherworking was that it was pretty much useless for a lot of classes except for drums. Engineering is completely different in that sense. It's balanced in a way that it's great for every single class and has useful stuff regardless of spec. Also the community was majorly in support of nerfing LW, I don't see many people saying the same thing about engi for wrath. Therefore I really don't see anything happen to engi. If you wanna level it either do it now, or wait until after wotlk release. Prices gonna keep rising until then and might crash on actuall launch.

I've been engineering before i discovered how everyone felt about the profession. I left it at 361 for months after crafting my blue copter and only recently have i had the cash to get epic flight and the epic copter.

Because it's a tactful, click bait video. A net of bullshit that has been cast out into a pond where he knows a lot of fish are to see how many clicks he can pull up. I'm all about trying to make it, but there is such a saturated market of gatcha content in this new age. Either make something pure and functional additive, or just find something else. It's the most cringe thing ever. Like a living breathing mobile game. Same concept.

The drums change was because of people complained over the leatherworking/drums meta, leatherworking gave notihing except drums for most classes, and drum chaining was not seen as fun mechanic in raids. This is not the case for engineering, I doubt any major change comming before launch..

On the flip side, if one waits until the last moment just to be sure, they'll find the material prices massively inflated because of a bottleneck effect. I've found that the prices are already creeping up slowly, and expecting a spike. And if you want to farm, be ready to share with the swarm of 70-80s going around Durotar and Elwynn Forest.

I will wait but for a different reason, I’m gonna drop enchanting and leveling while disenchanting greens and blues is amazing. I’ll drop enchanting for engi when I get close to raiding after the first week

The difference is... People love Engineering and no one likes Leatherworking... No one is going to complain about Engineering, but lots complained about Leatherworking...

I’m going to watch this because I like your content, but I’ll just say it’s too late, I’ve been engineering on my main and every alt I’ve made, ever, in any WoW expansion. As far as Classic is concerned I’ve been an engineer since day one.

Even if they nerf engi (which I doubt) they will never take away my rocket boots and parachute cloak enchants.

another solution would be to go blacksmithing with all your ores and stones. blacksmithing also have some nice stuff. extra sockets in gear, like bracers.

I really hope they don't nerf engi ... it is such a cool fun profession in wrath and it is not as problematic as tbc lw.

Here’s the difference though: engi is fun. Nerfing would be a mistake. For pure stats, it’s actually on par so with other profs. It just has more utility, which makes it generally the best choice for most.

I don't think so, it is not even comparable to how strong stacking leather working for drums was, it is basically just a stat boost like everything else, but of course better since you can trigger it at will like a small trinket, but not hugely overpowered. I watched an assasination rogue video and he made a spreadsheet with different professions and engineering was around 100 dps increase. Quite strong at the beginning but not game changing considering that in naxx ppl with at least do something like 3k dps
