One thing I want to add that I'll be now including on my weekly Sunday list with your suggestions:

CLEAN YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES! The quickest + simplest way to do this is to use a gentle bar of soap (think Dove, Ivory, anything gentle, preferably not too perfume-y). Wet each brush until saturated. Then gently swirl the brush around the bar of soap until it no longer lathers dirty. Rinse as needed with warm water. Beauty Blender type sponges take the longest. Using warm water, thoroughly rinse each brush until the soap + grime are clear.

Press out excess water + place your newly clean makeup brushes (yay!) on two layers of paper towels, lying each brush flat. The brushes should dry overnight! As a former skin care professional, this is one of my top two tips (the other being daily application of sunscreen). Dirty makeup brushes can be the root cause of so many icky things like breakouts, reactions, + recurrent eye infections. Clean brushes feel great + you don't have to use as much product. I actually have two sets of sheets for my bed and every Sunday I take the sheets that are currently on the bed off and wash them. In the meantime, I make the bed with the new sheets. So I alternate the sheets that are on my bed every week. When it comes to breakfast, I kind of have a set routine, so I don't have to think about it a whole lot.

As part of my self care on Sundays I always always always make time to paint my nails. I go all out with nail care and the ritual is really relaxing. It makes me feel prepared for the week because good nails = good self image for me.

This video is right on time! On Friday my car started having issues so I couldn't work this weekend as it's my main source of income. And I can't get it even looked at until Monday. Anyway, instead of getting too overwhelmed I enjoyed my weekend and am using my Sunday to attack my Monday and beyond!

To go to sleep and leave your phone out. What helps me is to treat my bedroom like a sanctuary. No worrying of the world and I know the phone connects me to the world. So a ritual of diconecting gives it a magical feel

Mommy of 2 little ones over here...I want to get to the point where I am fully prepped for Monday by Friday night, so I can fully enjoy the weekend. I like reverse engineering what a successful day will look like (on any day)..use routines as guidelines and be flexible like an Incredible is a MUST with kiddos!

That "do not disturb" mode is SUCH a game changer. I did that this week, just left my phone in it all the time and oh wow I felt so much calmer and more focused without the phone constantly ringing to distract me in the middle of things. I do see the screen light up and can determine if I need to answer. Plus I added a couple people in to be exceptions so when it does ring I KNOW I want to answer. It's amazing how the lack of anything audible makes it less 'urgent' to answer others though. Easy enough to respond to a voicemail or call someone back when your schedule allows. Bonus - not hearing the ping of a text coming in means there's no sudden craving to look and see who/what it was. Working from home has enough distractions, one less from my phone is amazing!

I've wanted to follow your phone in the other room advice but without a landline in the house I need my phone close by. Hubby has lots of health issues and I feel I need to be able to call for an ambulance when half asleep without stumbling through the house at 3 am in a panic with dogs and cats underfoot. It's a goal for when he's healthier. Or, when I just break down and get a phone line again.

It's not just Sunday night, but every night before a workday; I plan my outfit for the next day, make my lunch + snacks, get my workbag ready so I don't forget anything and lay out the piece of fruit I will eat with my breakfast (cause otherwise I tend to forget). I don't really plan my breakfast, it's usual just a glas of water, a glas of milk, bread with something on it and my piece of fruit.

That first suggestion was exactly what I needed to hear, especially on this night before the first day of school for our five kids (at three different schools)! It's not like I can do any of the things for tomorrow ahead of time, so why spend today worrying about them?

My morning routine at 5am, Sunday’s are laundry, meal planning, outfit planning, quick cleaning, google calendar planning, nails fixed up and assignments prepped for class.

Thanks for the great tips. Summarized for impatient people like me: 1. Plan out how you will carry out the biggest items on your monday to do list 2. sleep in clean sheets 3. decide what you are eating for lunch and pack it 4. Don't procrastinate, clean the dishes do your homework etc 5. don't be lazy, work out or walk etc 6. self-care, no caffeine, full night sleep, hygiene 7. keep your phone away from your bed
