The crowded teeth theory is very interesting.
Most companies only cover braces for children. Maybe that will change soon. I applaud any adult who invests in braces.

Yes, many adults are getting braces. It's great! Not just for the aesthetics side of things but general oral health too. Also, not to mention there are adults who are getting braces for the second time because their teeth moved again from not wearing their retainers when they were teens.

Finally completed my journey today....started at 24....now 26.... To any other adult considering getting braces, just go for it. The journey was difficult, but i dont regret it.

im about to get them again at 27 cus i never wore my retainers (wont make that mistake this time). Invisalign's only like 600 more but I'm not sure i would actually wear those things 20-22 hrs a day and dont wanna waste my money.

I think traditional braces are better than things like invisalign cause they actually help things like bite and crowding and also you don't have to change them out like invisalign, plus I think braces look nice on people, they look sparkly.

I’m 18 and they said my situation for getting braces is very different. I need them because one of my canine isn’t coming down on it’s own. However the gap from where it should be has been like that since I was 11. The the canine still won’t come down and it’s actually an impacted tooth (that’s the only reason insurance is covering it). I have to get 4 teeth removed for this and my parents keep telling me insurance won’t cover it again in 6 months. I’m really scared
