Earlier we have split our data into separate excel sheet but this time, we will split spreadsheet records into a new workbook. It’s useful and reduces our effort in making different workbooks with the same data.

It will take hardly 1 min to complete the task. Isn’t that interesting?

Note: Please note that before you run the code please check that there is no other file with the same name. For example, if you run the code for the second time it will give you the following error as the same file already exists in your location.

When I create the button macro, I right click it then assign a macro, in my case I do not see the list that you have in order for me to click "SplitDataByCoumn". How do you do that button so when I create a macro I have the chance to see the "SplitDataByColumn" the way you have on this video.

This is great work.
How could I limit what is copied over to just one column of the table?
For example, I would want to bring just column C over in the newly created workbooks

Hello, your solution is fantastic and precisely what I needed. I do have a question, though, regarding the Excel file's size. While it works exceptionally well for smaller files, for larger ones (ex: 900K rows), it only retrieves the header and saves the file empty. Could you please assist with this issue?

Hello - How can the code be updated so that the new workbook file name is the value that you are splitting the files by? Instead of just workbook(#)

Thank you for this! Question, is there a way to add something to the code that will provide an extra piece of information to the title/name of each workbook? For example, if I’m choosing a column that contains a person’s name, that appears as the name of the book but what if I wanted to add another column from the book that contains say the name of a store so the book would be named person’s name and name of store is that possible? Would you be able to helm me with that please ? Thank you
