Absolutely fantastic, detailed and informative to the max. Makes me think I should be sat here with a pen and paper taking notes. One thing I’ve definitely decided is I’m going to take 2-4 weeks building play pens and runs for them before I buy them. I’m quite the woodworker (more in building guitars but I’m sure a lot of those skills are quite transferable.

I'm surprised how little my chinchilla sheds. I am endlessly cleaning dust and poop but not hair. I let her out to play every evening and she is trained to get back in her cage herself, because she gets a half of one of those shredded wheat pieces. Shredded wheat and apple sticks are her jam.

Im glad they dont like the heat cause neither do i, also i’ve seen a lot of people having them just around their house, can they be allowed to just be out and about. Obviously supervised! I know this is an old video but hopefully you can offer some help. I have 2 male chins, and they chew up EVERYTHING!!! I’ve tried to give them wooden shelves and hides and they demolish all of it. 😅 To top it off, their cage reeks of pee a few hours after changing it. I’m hesitant to add a litter box because they destroy everything else.

I love them but maaaan they’re a full time job. 😖😂

What I did to bond them was to clean the whole cage then put them both in the cage and that’s been months ago they love being together they cuddle all day and at night they jump alot
