I’ve found that VDI numbers are always different for several reasons. Machines settings, ground conditions, moisture.

Keep sharing your experience with us. We may not agree with all matters, but still its cool to learn other points of view. Metal detecting is a pure lottery. Respect mate !

Of course silver rings as low as zincs and gold is in the pulltab and foil range but if you go out and dig every signal everyday we will have signs up prohibiting our hobby and the parks will look like war zones. And if you work you have to decide how much energy to spare on vdis. Its good to know that 55 on a fisher and 24 on a simplex and 12 on a minelab or 58 on a quest or garrett are where alot of gold rings come in so you can dig the solid ones and pass the scratchy ones.I dig a few foil and pulltab numbers each time I go but not all of them by any means. Like the lounge and good subjects and dialog.Keep em coming.

And another thing is metal detecting is supposed to be a hobby and to get out and have fun and get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors

Some people just think they know it all,
And the more they think they know the more they talk crap.
As soon as you said "This kid", I was like "OK, that explains a lot" 😂👍

I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. These people that are so accusatory, only do that… accuse you of things, because they ascribe their own behavior on you and everyone else. The silver jewelry thing… Yep, they ring up, often times, like a silver coin numerically and tone-wise.

Joey, I started detecting last year. I am now 60. I have learned a lot of helpful things from Youtube channels such as yours. There are a lot of good people in metal detecting such as yourself and then there are those kinds of people that love to stir the pot. They should do all of us detectorist a favor and find a new hobby such as How To Live A Meaningful Life. 1st step : Be helpful not hateful. Keep up the good work Joey.

Biggest issue in the hobby currently are all the inflated egos. Just ignore and delete them.

This guy has a problem with you Joey why i don't know. There are so many detectors and they all react different and have different VDI scales for metals. I own 7 different metal detectors and tested maybe another 15 the last 5 years so i know what i'm speaking. I folllow a few metal detecting channels but yours is one of the best. Everybody can make vids of digging in the ground but giving inside information, technical information, discussing stuff is something you don't find on most channels and that makes your channel just so good. You can detect for 20 years and still learning new things, i do. There will always be haters. Just keep your channel going like it is now Joey

Yes... at 69 I have a hard time up and down. And my knees are super sensitive... If my knee touches the ground, I must have on a good set of knee pads. Also my all metal detector's shovel... I use that too. I ride bicycles, when weather is good. I ride a schwinn air dyne exercise bike EVERY day for 1/2 hr. at a good clip, I've done the air dyne for years. Old guys, are old. LOL This young punk, that made you angry.... he's just showing how much he thinks he knows. He can pound sand. Good Vid. Elvis !

Wow I have dug silver rings in the quarter range 95 the highest on the simplex. So silver rings do ring up higher and lower then a quarter. just like gold rings up in different vdi reading too. If silver and gold rings read up on one blotch Notch vdi number people would zone that in right away.. Silver and gold necklaces will read up different But on the Nox I hit a silver chain and pendent on a 24 25 now that would be a copper penny or a dime.. I had someone who says the Bounty Hunter Tracker 4 is just a nail finder .. well too me that says he has no experience with any detector at all..
