Safety error!

ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE EARTH (BLACK) CABLE FIRST!!

The way you did it risked the POSITIVE (red) cable coming into contact with the car bodywork, which could short out the lithium battery in your jump starter.

Even if that jump starter has built in protection against stupidity it’s a basic safety rule for ALL forms of jump starting with negative earth vehicles:-
“Disconnect Earth first, reconnect last”.
