The one thing I came here for was to see how you removed the plate. I had to put a flat screw driver behind the cover cap and push out (look around the cover there is a dent for that).

Shouldn't it be fixed with door bolts rather than screws?

Please can you help. I have the same handles but they don’t go up and down together- when one goes down the other stays in the same position. why could that be? The latch works.

Doh! Loose screws?? I was looking for what to do if the screws don't tighten. Answer is: use silicon filler to fill the hole in, wiped onto the screw.
