So at first I couldn't figure this out but was able to download the app on my Mac. Maybe you could show people how to do this on their computer also, not everyone uses their phone. I use both The app is cool and it was pretty easy to Scan so thank you.

How do you save it as a file on your phone? Anyway to save as a pdf

The scanning sucks majorly when trying to scan to your computer. You have to push the paper in for it to feed through. Pressing scan from the computer, you have to run to the printer to push it it. This creates a black block on the paper for the amount of time it was scanning before the paper starts feeding through. I am returning this printer for this reason!
