I think the whole thing about us British people drinking a lot of tea comes from a misunderstanding. If a British person invites you over for tea, they're inviting you to come over for the evening meal (dinner). If they're inviting you to come and have a cup of tea and a chat, the term varies across the country, common ones are to come for a "cuppa" or a "brew". "Tea" is interchangeable with "dinner" in most of the UK. As in "tea's ready!", meaning "dinner is ready!", or "have you had your tea yet?", meaning "have you had your dinner yet?".

I love how the Americans in this video did nothing but compliment the British/English, saying they're witty and classy, and most of the comments from British/English people are taking offense and being rude. Not to mention if this were a survey of British people on Americans they would probably say a lot of bad things.

I loooveee the Brits! I've been there so all those stereotypes are so ignorant! There are lots of different kinds of people in England but they are all lovely! They were so polite and helpful to me and very funny and friendly as well! I can't wait to go back, you guys are doing something right ❤
