VW MIB2 screen difference

Just the example how screen size and resolution can make difference on the same headunit. MIB2 6.5” and 8” screens are interchangeable. But 9.2” screen requires different “brain” in glove box

6, 5" and 8" use 800x480 resolution, 9, 2" use 1280x680. This is the reason they are not interchangeable.

6, 5 inch and 8inch work with MIB2 but 9.2 work only with a head unit mib 2.5

Will the display 8.0 fit into the mib 2 3Q0035846A unit in my 6.5 inch? if I asked for the number you need to look for :)

i bought this screen for my passat b8 and did the same thing the screen goes dark there's something i can do

Hi m8, i have a vw variant gtd 2016 with discover media pro mib 2. Does the 9' screen work with it? Or do i nerd to upgrade to mib 2.5. Cheers. Thx
