Marika Hornsent Them To Their Doom - Elden Ring #shorts

Marika has to be one of the most valid crash outs in all of crash outs. I was questioning in the base game Elden Ring why she hated the Omens so much, then we learned in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC that Hornsents (group that's very similar to Omens) were experimenting on her people. I'd release a Messmer too if that happened to me lol, all 18" of Messmer.

Evil begets evil. The Hornsents carried out a genocide of her people, and she in turn did the same to them.
She tried to avenge her people which, in some ways, makes her actions right. However that doesn't justify her utterly hateful treatment of Omens and others especially after what she did to her own children just because they were born as Omens.
There is nothing worse than an oppressed turned into an oppressor.

I condone the revenge on the hornsent but I don't condone the centuries of damnation to creatures born of the omen with horns that had nothing to do with the hornsent.

Still can’t condone a lot of what Marika does throughout the series, but I do understand her.

She’s literally fractured, in the sense that the Hornsent took a piece of here when they took her people, and never healed.

Marika had justified hatred of the Hornsent but she did EVERYTHING WRONG, after the purge and with the new order she created, she was wronged and in response she became an even bigger monster than those who harmed her

Hornsents deserved it but Messmer didn’t

Forgot about the big "nobody dies anymore and everyone is miserable and suicidial for eternity". She did that to her own people just to keep Golden Order ruling forever. Marika and her people were oppressed, but even Ymir says that she was a rotten person making just as rotten children. It's definitely not a stort about poor oppressed people and evil oppressors. It's a story about a world where everyone is just as terrible.
