How Darth Revan's Lightsaber Changed Color ON ITS OWN! - Star Wars Explained

The Jedi turned Sith lord Revan had a mysterious and deep connection his original blue Jedi lightsaber, so much so that the color of the blade changed on its own from a blue to purple as Revan became a Sith lord! In this video we attempt to explain how this happened!

Could it be said that Revan is the only jedi or sith that actually was able achieve true balance, he was neither completely dark nor completely light, he was in between and this further proves that he was neither one nor the other but in complete balance

I love that Revan's lightsaber crystal was so connected to him that it changed color on its own. This is why I believe that Mace Windu's saber is purple. Mace rides the edge of becoming a Sith, and his crystal responded. Revan is who I believe was someone who was the closest to becoming a grey force user. He just focused on who was important to his cause at the time and would change sides. He was truly split between the dark and the light sides at all times. I wish he would have had time to find the balance within himself to leave both the Jedi and Sith and venture forth on his own. The order of the two colors. Plo Koon's saber for the win.

I think the reason Revan's lightsaber changed from blue to purple is because when it was blue he was harnessing the light side, and when it turned purple he was harnessing the light and the dark because purple lightsabers are a mixture of blue and red.

I always wondered why Revan was sometimes seen with a purple lightsaber both as a Jedi and Sith Lord. I feel like Meetra should've had a dynamic lightsaber blade based on her alignment in the force seeing how she influenced how her companions looks during the Jedi Purge. However this adds a very interesting back story to such a great character's personal weapon :)

Revan was amazing, his lightsaber was so beautiful and so unusual. I wasn’t aware of the colour naturally changing as it did with how he changed so much.

Interesting. I quite like how mysterious and ominous this story about Darth Revan's lightsaber crystal's blade turning purple is, and I LOVE how it's a metaphor for Revan's own moral greyness after his turn to the Dark Side with him being torn between the Light Side and the Dark Side of the Force. :) :) :)
Your description of the story from early on in the video made me think Revan's purple lightsaber changed to that colour because of his deep connection to it - from what 'Star Wars' stories I've seen, it seems rare to me for a Jedi or Sith to retain the same lightsaber from their first lightsaber's construction throughout their life for as long as Revan did, explaining why this change of colour doesn't occur more often. If the story of Darth Revan's lightsaber changing colour becomes Canon, I think Bleeding could be used as an explanation for the colour-change if they tweak the lightsaber's story from Legends slightly. :)

Since 1977, I always felt the Lightsaber was a manifestation of the wielder (owner). It would account for intensity of color as well as hue. I like this explanation of the crystal changing color as Revan changed. Maybe that puts me in the minority, I don't know, but it makes Revan that much cooler to me.
