Seriously thinking about this as my next vehicle. I don’t need to tow very often. Looking at the utility for carrying mulch/dirt sometimes small furniture. Seems to be a good all around utility vehicle. We have had 2 other Hondas and have loved them. Our current one is a 2006 pilot with 245, 000 miles on it. It runs like the day we bought it. Other than maintenance, we’ve done 3 repairs in that time.

The fact that it’s not a 4 cylinder with a turbo squeezing every last drop of power and perhaps sacrificing longevity is a big selling point for me.

Just bought a 2022 RTL-E 3 weeks ago. Great vehicle. Only negatives are that any design change cost money and should provide some benefit. The push button tranny provides zero benefit. I also question the wisdom of shutting down 3 cylinders during cruise considering potential long term effects on the engine, so I bought a disable wire harness to disable the ECO function. Same with auto stop/start. Lots of added wear and tear on the motor mounts, battery, starter, etc. Drive with that function shut off. That said, this truck does everything my F-150 did being I'll never go off road rock climbing.

I’ve had a 2021 RTL-E for two years now and absolutely no complaints. After owning full size fords, Chevys and GMC. I love the vehicle especially the trunk in the bed, use it all the time!

In my '21 RTL, the R to D delay is about 2 seconds when cold and 1 sec when warmed up.. Gets a solid 28.5 mpg at 65mph.. Rides like an Accord and easy to park.. Pulls my 4000 pound travel trailer no problem and gets 14+ mpg while doing so.. I did have to buy an external brake controller because no integrated brake controller is available from Honda..

I noticed the under the bed trunk was quickly described as a small storage area under the bed and that was it. Having a lockable, waterproof, large trunk in a truck is no small feature and should get more credit. Other than that, nice review.

On my 2nd ridgeline. Had a 2013 G1 that had the awkward G1 look but was reliable and comfortable. Traded it in for a 2023 sport and i couldnt be happier. Well maybe if it got 30mpg lol.

I disagree as an owner of a 21 RTLE, I have never noticed the lag when engaging in gear. I’m not looking for a race truck so the power for my needs are fine. I do feel the need for additional ground clearance, 3 inches would be great. However, the ride is so good it has become not only our truck but our trip vehicle!

Gas mileage in my experience was excellent, a recent trip of 600 miles averaged 28 mpg. This was better than my car!

It's a city truck. I had a Z71 1500. Barley used it as a "truck". I have a 22 Black Edition and I have not looked back.

I bought a clean used 2017 RTL E 3 years ago for $32k and it was worth it. I consider it a Pilot pickup. Good for taking care of around the house duties, very comfortable on the road, decent gas mileage. Handy under seat storage in the trunk and in the bed is excellent. My wife couldn't drive my Ram but is good with driving the RL so it fits better in the family. The prices they want for new ones seems to be too much but I guess that's the current crazy market.

Just traded in my 2020 Ridge RTLE and got a 2022 Black Edition, love it!

The Ridgeline would sell better if the price was more competitive

Only thing keeping from buying this over a Tacoma is the lack of 6ft bed. I need to be able to fit 6ft step ladders for my job.

I've had my 2022 RTE for about a month and it's a dream to drive. Very comfortable. Although I don't like that it does take more gas it is a V6 in my old car was a four-cylinder so I'm still getting used to spending $100 to fill my tank. Will be taking camping this week and I'll let you know.

I love my 2020 RTL-E and we could have purchased any of the trucks on the market and yet we bought this. Yes, it is not manly looking but I don’t have anything to prove and the vehicle is all that most and I mean most people need in a utility vehicle like this. Plus it’s a Honda.
