The Honda Ridgeline Is The Only Pickup Truck In Its Class That Can Do This - Black Edition Review

It might have a short bed, but thanks to the unibody structure design, you can actually fit some pretty wide things in the back between the wheel wells. This Ridgeline in Black Edition has some unique cosmetic upgrades as well. See what there is to know before you buy!

Just traded my 17 for a 21 this last October. I loved the 17, but liked the new front end, so traded up. My cousin has also had 2, which is why I got my 17 originally. Great and under-appreaciated vehicle. Most of those critics about its towing and off-road ability are people who will buy a Raptor and yet not tow or off-road in it. Let them be insecure, and we can enjoy a great truck in our Hondas.

Nice review, but it seems that every review of the 2nd generation Ridgeline complains about the “fake” seam between the C pillar and the bed. It’s actually a real seam, since the bedside is bolt-on and replaceable without any cutting and welding. A distinctive advantage in my opinion.

I'm renting a 2019. And I was going 85 and felt I was going 60. The handling is nice. The seats are very comfortable. I drove for 2 hours. And it was very comfortable.

Just bought a 2022 Sport...sliver/black...love it...so far 21-28 mpg at the pump...and the computer was pretty close. The reason Honda no longer has the no seam body is very simple...it was a repair nightmare... Have a dent in the bed large enough that the body panel had to be replaced it was very difficult and expensive repair...

I have a 2009 Ridgeline that I absolutely love, and for many of the reasons presented here. With only regular maintenance and replacing wear items, it drives like it did when new. Watching this video convinced me to keep on driving my 13 year old truck; it has 95% of what the new version offers without a $45k price tag. Maybe someday I’ll get a new Ridgeline, but for now I’m sticking with my ‘09.

I had a 2020 and honestly it was one of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned. Quick, handled great, super versatile and great mileage. The only reason I got rid of it was I need something that towed more. If money permits I’ll add another one back to the fleet.

Just got a 2022 model. Traded in a Ram Rebel 4x4. This truck was a perfect fit for my needs. Honda quality and support.

That seam between the cabin and the bed also means that, in case of an accident, you can easily replace a smaller panel that in the previous generation truck.

I own a 2022 Ridgeline RTL-E black on black. I love it! Its my daily commuter plus more when moving big toys. Those that complain about it and have a Tocoma or Raptor or alike never been on a trail bc they dont want to scratch it or dirty it.

Just bought the 22 RTL E and I love it. This is my 3rd Ridgeline I had an 06 and 13 RTLs. Thoroughly does what I need it to do and love the car like ride.

I just bought one. I've had my beefy trucks. Got in this and loved it. Maybe because I'm older, and don't do any offroading anymore, but this truck-uv just rode great, handled great, and has some cool things others didn't.

Just got my 22 black edition 2 weeks ago, overall it's a very nice vehicle as an everyday versatile truck, I owned a 4 runner 18 before and the ridgeline handles and drive better, I like the aerodynamics of the Honda and isolation, and responsive is better than the 4 runner . I own a lexus RX 350 f sport 22 too and I have owned and drove a lot of cars .. this truck is amazing especially if you don't go off roading

Had an 06. Fishing in the spring and summer, hunting in the fall and early winter and towed a two place long track snowmobile trailer for the rest of the winter. With the right tires, you can go places with a Ridgeline.

Looks more like my 2007 Ridgeline. Still going strong 300, 000 miles💪🏾. So glad they changed the front back to a more square look. Looks like a truck again.

Great review. I think you covered all of the important aspects of the Ridgeline in under 12min. Well done!

Last December I got my 2022 RTL. Smooth ride and power when you need it. Plenty of room, very comfortable and versatile vehicle. I still learning to be comfortable with the button shift gears. Take time for muscle memory. Love this truck specially for long trips.

Just traded my 2019 for a 2022 last week. Just enough changes and crazy truck market to make it worth the upgrade.

Great video/content. I bought a late model 2021 RTL-E and haven't looked back! The interior space is larger than the Tacoma. It's essentially a Passport with a bed. With the trunk in-bed, it lives like an SUV.

Hi from the UK. We can't get this model here. I just bought a Nissan Navara / N Guard. It's a good truck but the features of the Honda are definitely more attractive. The bi-fold rear tail gate, storage under the load bed and the rear seat area are a bonus. Hopefully Honda will bring this to the UK it would create a lot of interest.
