In today`s video, we will be discussing how to grow taller AT ANY AGE. For most individuals, though, height is controlled largely by a combination of genetic variants that each has more modest effects on height, plus a smaller contribution from environmental factors (such as nutrition). Some of these variants are in genes that directly or indirectly affect the cartilage in growth plates, which are areas in the long bones of the legs and arms where new bone is produced, lengthening the bones as children grow.

The inheritance of these variants from one`s parents helps explain why children usually grow to be approximately as tall as their parents, but different combinations of variants can cause siblings to be of different heights. Height is influenced by other biological mechanisms (such as hormones) that may also be determined by genetics, although the roles of these mechanisms are not fully understood. In addition to genetic and biological determinants, height is also influenced by environmental factors, including the nutritional status of the mother during pregnancy, whether she smoked, and her exposure to hazardous substances. When you`re still growing, you need to be getting between 8-11 hours of sleep per night to maximize your height potential.

But that just goes to show the importance of sleep as you grow. Also, your body naturally produces human growth hormone or HGH in deep, slow-wave sleep. The more HGH you can naturally create in your body, the more growth you`ll generate. But it has been proven that getting too little sleep consistently suppresses growth hormone.

Nutrition is incredibly important for growth & to grow taller. Protein, vitamins, and minerals specifically are absolutely essential in order to reach maximum height growth. You want to have an overall balanced diet to ensure you get all your needed macros and micros to feed and fuel your bodies while growing. It`s actually shown that cleaner diets result in less body fat storage and increased height.

So consuming foods rich in protein and vitamin D contributes to more growth hormone, which brings about proper bone and muscle growth. In order to grow, your bodies need to fuel the process. Each nutrient has properties that play a role in contributing to the proper optimal growth of your body. Being physically active is one of the best ways to naturally increase height.

There is a direct correlation between bone and muscle development, and physical activity while we`re growing. When you increase activity, your body demands more nutrients. Therefore, being active and playing sports while growing up is vital to your body`s development. In addition, working out naturally stimulates growth hormones.

Resistance training specifically releases the greatest amount of growth hormone in the body.

I'm 38 & put a pull-up bar on my door frame to start hanging and stretching from. Within a month a few people I know, including my wife noticed I had gotten taller. No, I obviously didn't gain inches but I did get noticeably taller by a few centimeters by my spine lengthening.

It makes sense. I had a huge amount of height growth when I was 11. Before that happened I was kinda overweight, but my dad influenced me to exercise so I started cycling. I got slimmer and taller, that year I got +10-12 cm. I stopped growing height tho, since I got less sleep from 9 to 7 hours. My goal was 185 cm., I’m 179.5 cm. It’s been 4 years since the last growth. Turning 20 this year, likely not gonna make it 😞

My height goals is 6.1 feet 185cm but know I'm 19 years old and my height is 174cm.

Yeah...I'm calling bs on this...giving folks false hopes. Your height at 21 years old is your permanent height. Now if your body posture slouches then that can be corrected, which could give you maybe a half of inch max but it's not going to be significant so if you have bad body posture maybe, but if not and you're a adult then your height as a young adult is permanent. You cannot change it.

I am 5'3 at age of 17 and weigh 51kg can I increase my height. My parent's height is 5'4 and 5'0 . I will be happy if I just stand 5'8 can I achieve that

I'm already 6.1ft but I certainly wouldn't mind going up to 6.5ft. One of my cousin's 7ft, not at all surprising when he's Dutch haha

I'm 29 years old and I ate healthy foods but it's not working ... Haha i exercise 8 hours a day . I'm still 5'6 i tried it for a year but it's impossible..

If you're under 20 this video helps if you're over 18 or 20 than this video is pointless height is based off of genetics and environmental lifestyle factors so this video is pointless for most people since they are over 20 years old once you are either 16, 18 or 19 you're growth plates stop growing. Execrise won't increase your height if that was the case I would be 6'3 or 6'4 but I'm 5'10 and stopped growing at 18 and I'm perfectly fine with that. This video is giving people false hope because it's based off of people's insecurites you can't grow taller it's impossible unless you get surgery which is expensive.

I'm 17 and my height is 5.35 feet(163 cm) with weight of 50 kg, whereas my brother is 16 with height of 5.8(176 cm). My parents are 4.9(mom, 150 cm) and 5.5(dad, 168 cm). I really want to get taller, but I haven't been growing for a couple of years except this year, as I gained 2 cm height.

To be honest, I don't eat whatever my mom cooks. There are some days when I don't eat food, because I don't like it. Also, I don't sleep with a certain schedule, namely I sleep whenever I want: 5-12 hours a day. But I do exercises regularly: do karate + I train in my spare time(push-ups, pull-ups and sometimes squads and sit-ups).

*What do you think if I can get any taller? If yes, please, give me your advice. I'd be really grateful.*
