Maybe people call it fungal acne since most people who are not professionals will have a hard time calling it by the actual name?!? Also, since it is fungal it makes sense to call it fungal acne. At least to me it makes sense even though it’s not technically acne. But great video on giving the correct info on the difference between the two. Keep up the good work.

I struggled with bad “fungal acne” for almost 2 years, and after trying everything to no avail and going to the dermatologist so many times, I finally bought an inexpensive sulfur cream off Amazon, and it SAVED my skin! I have been using it every night for 8 months now, and my skin has never looked better ! Highly recommend sulfur for anyone else suffering from this ♥️

The names change because we discover things aren’t actually related to one another. Just as the herb rosemary was until 2017 named Rosemarinus officinale, it was found to not be a separate genus of its own but actually a variety of sage, thus it is now Salvia rosemarinus in the same genus as sage (Salvia vulgaris). We know medics (et al.) often get annoyed by microbial “name changes” but the names are critical - if people think organisms X and Y are closely related, they expect them to do similar things, so we have to have the names right (really a hierarchy of categorising organisms) so that assumptions aren’t incorrectly made.

Omg!!!! This is exactly what happened to me last summer!! I never had acne problems and then I started to have small pimples all over my jaw and mouth. I went to the dermatologist and she treated like acne and it got worst!!! I started to get red and dry.
