Because you can never have too many videos on youtube about how to mix resin really really well... plus I'm insane so it may also entertain you. Also! Tips to keep cost down. Hope it helps someone. :D

Oh! NO LATEX GLOVES. GO GET THE BLUE ONES... THEY ARE AT WALMART IN THE HOUSE PAINT SECTION. Nitrile gloves. Trust me.

If you have any questions about this or anything else pm me or comment and let me know so I can try and help you out!

Find me on twitter @movietrollop
And buy my stuff (so I can buy more stuff to make more stuff) here!:

Disclaimer: This video is to show you how I mix my resin- Please be safe and read all the information provided by your brand of resin before touching the stuff. Be safe. WEAR GLOVES AND DON'T TOUCH YOURSELF... that's what she said? But seriously, this stuff is toxic- be safe. *****EDIT***** : I use MUCH safer resins now but I still think gloves and masks are a good idea. You only get one body, be good to it where you can. Resin and materials I use in the above amazon shop link.

Great tutorial! I'm not a newbie any more, after a lot of crappy pours I wish I had seen this before I started pouring👍🏼😊

Hi there! I'm training to be a Dental Technician and have to mix acrylic resin for dentures on a regular basis and I come under the title 'newby' haha, I just wanted to say I appreciated your tutorial GREATLY! You dumbed it down for me and put abit of humor in there to keep me interested. I know this video is a few years old however hopefully positive feedback against the negative comments is timeless :) thankyou again!

When sturing you should do it slowly to prevent any air bubbles being created.

I want to thank you. I’ve made several tumblers in the last year. I watched your tutorial today. I mixed epoxy and for the very first time, I had very little bubbles. I love your technique using a straw to blow out the bubbles!

Thank you! This really helped. I was wondering why my resin never cured. Turns out, I wasn't mixing well enough. XD

I would like to express how much I like the spooky drop cloth paper in the background. I have expressed how much I like the spooky paper. Yes, yes.

You just made tons of buubles, you have to mix slowly and always in the same way without removing the stick

Legend says up until this day she is still stirring the resin endlessly

Thank you for helping and making this video, I'm going to attempt my first water diorama. I watched this while smoking some weed, I tried to wipe that water drop on your table, off of my phone for a couple of minutes. I do have one question, what is the name of the resin? Is there a certain kind I need to make it look like a lake?

With epoxy you need to mix it in two cups. Otherwise you will get poorly hardened epoxy inclusions. So, mix ingredients in ONE cup. Mix and then poor into new and fresh container. No more inclusions or soft spots. Do not use the residu in the container. Bubbles in the liquid will rise if you take or a hotairgun or a burner, Move the torch or the heatgun from left to right while you do it, otherwise you will burn the epoxy, As the liquid epoxy heats up a bit, the viscosity will allow the air to escape.

I made a desk for myself and finished it all in epoxy. Something you missed is that the more you mix the faster it sets up. So if you're pouring half a gallon at a time you better work fast. Any pour larger than that and you'll need a glass mixing bowl and superman speed.

I'm not! lol and I always wore gloves! lol The sensitivity is something that can develop over time through continued exposure. I think it is a wise move to treat toxic substances as.. well, toxic substances. AND! Latex gloves create an even higher risk because of some chemical reaction that pops up when the latex and the epoxy come into contact. It is equal parts frightening and fascinating... and all this just so I can keep my stickers for all eternity. We all must be REALLY into stickers. :D

Thanks for the upload. Learned Quite a few things more than I came here for. Some from the random chatter in the video, some from the description, some from other comments. Brightened my mood, too. Here's your like.

hey, very good job! So, how do you clean after, what can we use to perfectly remove resin from brushes, spatulas, table or simply clean the cups and why not?!.... and im talking about resin already mixed. How about if I need to use a syringe to put resin inside very small molds and i want to reuse that syringe.. how do i clean it from the inside?
