Yoda did actually have a very strong relationship with the Wookies. I often wonder why, in Legends, nobody ever mentions that Chewbacca knew Yoda. Does Luke ever find out that Chewbacca and Yoda were friends? Does Han ever find out that Obi-Wan is not the first Jedi Chewbacca has met?

Let's be real, the Jedi council deserved what was coming. Palpatine rose up insanely fast, gained near unlimited power, and was all for fighting the war to the absolute end, and the council never once considered him a suspect? Pretty dumb move.
