I actually read the Episode III book on a business trip before seeing the movie. And as there is a lot going on internally with Anakin through the story, the book has an opportunity to show that a lot better. It made the first time seeing the movie WAY better.

His ultimate fall didn’t feel as abrupt because I had a window into his thoughts through the whole process.

Really, if Yoda had stayed, the Sith would've lost. Even with Anakin's intervention, there is no way Sideous could take Windu and Yoda.

If The council was more transparent about the plan to Anakin (and made him a master), I feel like the plan would've worked, as Anakin would've achieved rights to the vault, allowing him to learn dark side powers, and all of his frustration with the order would be non-existent, which would negate a lot of Sidious' influence on Anakin.

The Jedi were incredibly brain damaged when making this decision. With Obi Wan on Utapau, and Yoda on Kashyyyk, Anakin has no Jedi to seek help from. Windu should have gone to Kashyyyk, not Yoda.

They should have brought Ki-Adi Mundi to Kashyyk, imo. That way, Yoda would have been present in Coruscant and probably take Sheev down.

I think you'll find that as the grand master, the other members of the council couldn't order yoda to do anything, he clearly makes the decision himself, now i will accept that maybe they manipulated him into doing it, but that would also lead to the conclusion that the council had been corrupted by the dark side. The only person who benefits from yoda's absence is palpatine, and i'm pretty sure he wasn't on the jedi council.
