Brian I have seen them both in different sizes and I really can't say. Each time I see them, my mind changes one to the other. Both are great

Sony for the more in depth picture, color, motion, and processing.

Sony cause I love how they handle motion, I know the interface and understand the color patterns. Plus that processing chip!

Can't lose with either but the C9 has HDMI 2.1 I don't think I need to say anything else

For me LG because I'm a gamer the price and lg to me has the complete package of what I look for in a tv besides just picture quality. That mouse on the remote is clutch for me and often overlooked because I hate having to press the button down when scrolling and also I love that lg menu screen doesnt obscure my viewing when browsing ie take up the whole screen when I may be watching something. And that 13 ms input lag is clutch to me but the Sony is a Beast too but it's those other things that mean something to me as well

I have burning questions because of one fundamental confusion ( not related to this video ) - How does using a streaming device such as the Nvidia shield over HDMI input change the picture quality when compared to the source being on the native OS. For eg if I use the Netflix app on the os vs a streaming device. Especially with the Nvidia shield, you have Dolby vision and hdr 10 output + some ai enhancements. So I am a little confused as if we are still utilizing the prowess of X1 Ultimate / LG A9( gen 2 ) when we use these external Inputs. If Nvidia shield ( or any other ) device has native Dolby vision processing will it change the picture you get on Sony A9 ?

Both are beautiful! Personally for me I would have to go with the Sony A9G. It has the more accurate and natural looking picture. With lesser quality sources the Sony IMO will have the better more detailed sharper image with better motion as well. With that being said I certainly could understand someone being initially wowed by the LG's overall brighter picture.

Hi guys! Nice to watch another interesting video again! I think both alternatives are good. Also, I would like to ask x900e owners in the channel a question although it's no related to the video. I would like you to help me if it is possible. Sony had to change the main board of my 49x9005e TV thanks to the two years guarantee. They installed PKG6. 5629.0177EUA firmware with a new main board. Have you noticed a worse clarity in the image of yours Sony x900e sets with that firmware or another recent firmware? What about its lighting panel and hdr? Did it get worse? And what about the flickering of your panel? I'm worried about that because I have noticed the clarity, lighting, HDR and flickering of the panel have got worse significantly. I don't know if it is because of a worse main board or the firmware. Also, 4k content is not so sharp than before. Thank you for your help.

i had the opportunity a few days ago to sit in a magnolia room with a sony A9G viewing Thor ragnarok and i cannot speak on behalf of Lg. but, I can say that the picture is beautiful i cannot explain it ...however different from Led.
led - from the different brands i have had i have noticed the flaws like
excessive grain and type of polarization or fuzziness in the screen in some areas during scenes etc. but i also noticed this type of polarization in the Oled ..it grabs ur attention it is so dramatically noticeable
beautiful picture but i did also notice the the motion in the picture as it panned to maybe tear and or have a jarring movement in way that was noticable. this is what i noticed ..still beautiful picture on the sony oled

Which of them have better sound? I'm trying to do without external speakers so it looks like audio will be my deciding factor. Help!

I think most people would get the A9G if they were the same price.

What about the C9 or A8G if they are the same price?

Either 1 but for me I would probably go with the c9 because its a little brighter and 500 dollars cheaper

I'm not sure how long ago prices were updated....but the C9 is way cheaper than A9G right now, so is this even something to think about at all. From what I can see, C9 65" is about $2300 and the A9G 65" is $3800 on Amazon. $1500 difference, any reason to consider Sony?

I chose the LG C9 for overall picture quality, black-levels, gaming potential, price point, and future proofing (HDMI 2.1 Vs. 2.0). The LG is the clear winner!!!

What about motion when watching normal 24fps content are there any big difference between them or are the similar in that aspect

Both look incredible. I need to see darker scenes with the Sony to judge the black levels. My gut says Sony just from the processing stand point. Future proof processor.

Spending that much i would want it to have the specs to last me a few years as my main movie and casual console gaming tv. Hdmi 2.1 may take a bit but it will be a game changer for consoles. 7K spent it better have 2.1.
