What It’s Like Getting Stuck in an Elevator

After a woman was trapped for days in a tiny elevator in a billionaire's Manhattan townhouse, an expert told Inside Edition what it would be like to find yourself stuck. Warren Stephens and his wife, Harriet, were out of town when the elevator of their town house got stuck between the second and third floors. Elevator engineer Bill Seymour said there's not much you can do once you're stuck inside. A person wouldn’t suffocate, he said, adding though that it would be uncomfortable. #InsideEdition

This is my worst fear. Last year I was stuck in an elevator for 5 hours, I still try to avoid elevators at all costs. It was an awful experience, one guy vomitted so it smelt awful in there.

I’ve been trapped in an very small elevator in college. As I was heading to class, so I can definitely understand the struggle.

That's happened to me before too, but when I was 11. I was on vacation in Hawaii with my family, and while going down the elevator from our hotel room we were trapped for about 45 minutes --- very frustrating! And very uncomfortable too. So after we got out of the elevator, we had no other choice but to take the stairs instead. That's the only time I ever got stuck in an elevator.

In other words it’s horrible, happened to me at an airport, elevator was full, missed our flight home, unbelievably claustrophobic and we were only stuck for an hour!

This is why I never go in elevators unless the building is like 20 stories high!

I’ve been stuck in 2 elevators (different ones) when I was a kid (like 5 or something) and this is one of the reasons why I’m scared of them now lol.
