OCD’s Family Weapon

OCD doesn’t stay in its lane. It involves us as parents. It has rules and responses that we must do in order to keep our child from spinning. It hijacks our home and threatens that if we don’t do what it demands our child will implode. And it makes good on its promises.

The reality though is we are just partnering with OCD. The more we give in to his demands, the more demands it will have. The only way to fully crush OCD is to slowly pull back your involvement around growing it.

That can be hard! That is why we need to build up our own knowledge and get our own support.
