Ah good old frog pose. I will search for the darkest and most human deprived corner that I can find and would still only do it if nobody is with me in that training area. But its a very good excercise for hip mobility.

It's also a lot about technique! In many cases in your video you don't make space between you and the wall. Footwork is essential for that and sometimes you can actively push against the wall to create that space. But also, don't skip leg training! Cheers!

I'm doing pretty good, I can lift either one of my knees above my shoulders while standing without using my hands to assist. All I do for stretching is consistently sit in deep squat.

I cant even do one pistol squat any climbs that require this particular motion im terrible at i really should start doing them

This kills my knee. I have pretty strong pain below my kneecap when performing those kinds of loaded squats. And while passing 90° my left knee pops really loudly

What if you have a bad knee and can’t really do any squats due to that? Is there an alternative? Thanks!

for what reason should you start with the weighted deep squats and not just go straight to deep pistols?

ATTENTION: can you explain the "wedge for assistance as needed" part? What is the wedge assisting exactly? Higher=easier? Ive always done mine flat, does that mean. I just didnt need assistance? Im confused becauae i always figured the wedge just isolate a different muscle or part of the muscle or something.

Plan your climb, know where you're gonna put your foot next and try and keep the improv to a minimum, cuz it wastes time and energy.

Also don't climb in jeans....

Just train the shit outta your pistol squat and you will get amazingly good at using high feet. It’s all about hip drive and most people have shit hip drive
