I like the dialogue between Darth Sidious and Count Dooku. Both express there personalities really well. Its interesting how they have opposite views on the two main characters of the prequel trilogy. Dooku wants to spare Kenobi and sees Skywalker as nothing more than a juvenile delinquent who is better off dead. While Sidious wants the opposite. They are practically arguing in the most polite manner possible.

Revenge of the Sith is not only my favorite Star Wars movie but also one of my favorite movies of all time. The novelization, in my opinion, surpasses the movie. And I will leave it at that.

This shows how Sidious and Dooku planned their plot to destroy the Jedi. However at the end Dooku was betrayed by his master and learned that betrayal is the Sith way.

Something tells me that deep down Sidious was annoyed that Dooku cut off Anakin's arm

I love this scene so much.
You can sort of sense the undercurrent of just how much Sidious finds Dooku’s aristocratic snobbery and bigotry annoying. It makes sense considering how Palpatine came from a far less wealthier and influential family on Naboo. Nice minor detail on how someone like Palpatine would hold resentment towards Dooku

Dooku, for as much of a smug jerk as he is, makes a fair analysis of Anakin. Anakin is reckless and impulsive, which makes him dangerous to both himself and others. In fact, this recklessness and impulsiveness end up destroying himself and almost everyone around him.

*"He's too old."*

How ironic.

"Kenobi glitters: as a translucent being he opened a door toward the sunny field of the Force. Skywalker is a stormcloud: dangerous thunderbolts circle around him, intensifying the vortex that may even turn into a tornado. And of course: there's Palpatine - above it all. He shows non of what's hidden inside. Palpatine was an event horizon even through the eyes of the dark side itself. Underneath his common surface there was absolute, perfect nothingness. The black hole of the Force."

That's a really good personification of Christopher Lee

Interesting that Dooku sees alien beings as lesser than humans, very interesting indeed...

Palpatine by this stage it seems is fed up of Dooku

Very interesting to me this conversation. Dooku wanted the Sith Empire after the Clone Wars, but Sidious deceived him and replaced by Anakin Skywalker, later Darth Vader. Dooku's death makes me sad, as he believed that the Jedi and the Republic are corrupt and believed also that his plans would be to make the Galaxy a better place. He didn't realize that betrayal is the way of Sidious until his death.

Palpatine is the most cunning and ruthless Sith Lord.

I like how Dooku and Palpatine are in the midst of a Reaper invasion

I feel saddened by how sociopathic and racist Dooku is in the novelization. I keep thinking that he was not always like this, and that his mindset was slowly made this way by embracing the Dark Side and its philosophies. Before he seemed a good man who genuinely cared for the Galaxy and its inhabitants. Before becoming Count, he was renowned for skill as a fair diplomat and his political idealism.

It’d be cool if we could see this in season 7 of TCW

We should gotten this scene as one of the three arcs in Clone Wars Season 7 to replace the Martinez sisters Arc. Don't get me wrong I like Ahsoka but, seeing more of how Dooku feels about Palpatine's grand plan before the Anakin & Obi wan vs Dooku duel would have made the whole Clone Wars show feel more complete.

I wish we could have heard Ian McDiarmid say "How fortunate am I to have an apprentice who feels it is appropriate to lecture me."

Dooku was right, Anakin was a danger to himself and others without proper discipline and control of his power and in the end, Anakin becoming Darth Vader proves it.
